Description
CNC71 Motorsport driveshaft spacers for BMW TYPE 188 with a thickness of 5 mm prevent increased stress on the driveshaft joints by reducing their operating point to the optimal position.
Lowering the car and the large negative wheel offset are the most important factors influencing increased wear on these elements.
If you have a problem with loose joints, and your vehicle is significantly lowered and/or the rear wheels are set in negative camber, perform a short test – unscrew the joints from the flanges in the differential, lower the car to the ground and see what distance is created between the axle shaft and the flange. If it is too large for the joints to work in the optimal range provided by the manufacturer, it is recommended to use a spacer.
Using one 5 mm thick spacer does not require changing the screws, it is possible to mount using the original screws. If the distance between the axle shaft and the flange is too large, you can use 2 or more axle shaft spacers per side, but this will require changing the screws to longer ones (additionally, it is recommended to use thread glue).
The product is made of steel and covered with a layer of zinc plating to protect against corrosion.
Price for 2 pieces of spacers – 1 set
