Hans Sport IV Device – 20 Degree Layback

The Hans IV Frontal Head Restraint (FHR) is the next evolution in driver safety, now available in three different sizes and offered at a more affordable price point. Engineered to be 10% lighter than the previous Hans III model, the Hans IV is designed for both comfort and performance, making it an ideal choice for entry-level drivers across a wide range of racing series. It features upgraded custom-molded pads that securely nest into the device, eliminating pad slippage during use. These pads are constructed from a refined foam blend, offering an optimal balance of comfort and support for extended wear.

The device is available in a 20-degree configuration, suitable for most upright seating positions common in many motorsport applications. Its high collar design has been carefully shaped to avoid contact with the neck in rear impacts, further enhancing safety and comfort. The Hans IV offers improved harness retention, ensuring that seat belts remain properly positioned and do not shift during a race.

Three anchor options are available: standard Post Anchor, QuickClick for SFI applications, and the M61 system (sold separately), providing compatibility across a variety of helmet setups. With improved features, more sizing options, and an unbeatable price, the Hans IV sets a new standard for value and performance in head restraint systems. Now available from McGill Motorsport.
