The PAGID RS 42 is a proven track pad for fast road, track day, club racing and tarmac rally use. It offers stable bite, strong modulation and consistent performance lap after lap. It is kind to discs and works well across a wide temperature range.

Expect a firm, predictable brake feel with good control at the pedal. RS 42 runs clean for a motorsport pad, but will create more dust and noise than standard road pads.

Compound overview

RS 42 (often known as “Blue”) delivers a medium-high friction level with smooth initial bite. It is easy to modulate, so you can trail brake with confidence. It suits lighter to medium-weight cars or drivers who prefer finesse over an aggressive bite. Cold performance is usable, but this is a motorsport compound and shows its best once warmed.

Bedding-in

Bed in carefully to stabilise the compound and avoid judder:

• Warm the pads with several gentle stops from moderate speed
• Make 6-8 firm stops from higher speed without activating ABS
• Allow the brakes to cool with light driving

Note: As a motorsport compound, increased noise and dust are normal on the road.
