Due to the considerable increase in performance, specifically torque which can be achieved through performance upgrades you may go beyond the torque capacity of the OE clutch setup, causing the clutch to slip.

rAt Regal Autosport we have developed a single mass 240mm upgrade flywheel. Our flywheel is up to 60% lighter than the stock dual mass flywheel. For maximum clutch performance the billet material was carefully chosen, a flat and true surface on the flywheel for maximum performance and smooth engagement. All topped off with balancing to minute tolerances.

rAs with our RSS Stage 2 and 3 clutch module the kits include lower mass over stock. Reducing parasitic losses (increasing torque and horsepower) at a constant rate (as the revs climb, the losses grow at an exponential rate). Due to the greatly reduced losses and lower moment mass of inertia these kits allow for maximum acceleration of the engine (faster revving, higher response, more power and torque) as well as shorter shift times alongside sportier shifts.

rThe clutch kit consists of our RSS Sprung Organic Centre Plate which allows for smooth engagement of the clutch, similar to an OE feel with a higher torque capacity. The clutch cover is a Genuine GM item which retains an OE feel.

rSpecific to the RSS Stage 2 Clutch Module the kit includes RSS Single Mass Lightweight Flywheel, RSS Sprung Organic Centre Plate, Genuine GM Cover Plate, GM Flywheel to Crank Bolts & GM Release Bearing. Everything you need to upgrade your clutch module!

r(please take note, when converting from the original dual mass flywheel to a single mass performance alternative, some vibration often termed as “chatter” can be felt at low RPM also at idle in neutral)
