Wagner Tuning BMW E9x 335d EVO3 Competition Intercooler Kit
The Wagner Tuning EVO3 Competition Intercooler Kit is a direct upgrade for the BMW 335d, designed to deliver significantly better charge air cooling than the original part. By keeping intake temperatures lower and more consistent, the engine can produce more reliable power, especially under sustained load on track or during spirited driving.
This is the largest of Wagner Tuning’s intercooler ranges for the E9x platform, built to handle the demands of heavily tuned 335d engines while still fitting in the standard location with only minor modifications.
Why Upgrade the Intercooler?
An intercooler cools the compressed air from the turbo before it enters the engine. Cooler air is denser, which means more oxygen and a stronger combustion event. The factory intercooler on the 335d is known to heat-soak quickly, particularly once the engine is remapped or driven hard, which causes power to drop off as intake temperatures rise.
The EVO3 core has been engineered to address this directly with a much larger surface area and internal volume.

Core Construction
The Competition core is a Tube Fin design with internal turbulators. In simple terms, the turbulators disrupt the airflow inside the cooler so that more heat transfers from the charge air to the cooler walls, improving efficiency without choking flow. Despite the larger size, the complete cooler weighs only 13.2 kg.
Original quick-release click connections are replaced with generous Ø70 mm connections supported by reinforced silicone hoses, giving excellent cooling performance with minimal pressure drop across the system.

Fitment
This kit is designed for the BMW 335d E90/E91/E92/E93 (2005-2013). It only fits vehicles without the ACC (Active Cruise Control) unit. Please use the vehicle lookup tool or check the Vehicle Fitment tab to confirm compatibility with your specific car.
Important: Due to the increased size of the core, minor adjustments to the radiator support will be required during installation. Refer to the supplied assembly instructions before fitting.
